Donald Mokgale

Donald is a seasoned media and marketing expert with over 19 years in the media and advertising industry and has been at the helm of global agencies like Carat Johannesburg, Posterscope SSA and Dentsu SSA, local gems like Avatar Media Agency and recently launched Culture-based growth firm Hibirism Group.

Currently, Donald wears two hats; he leads Moya App as CEO and leads Hibirism Group, helping businesses with growth opportunities in research (qualitative and strategic insights) and market share growth (customer acquisition and retention on the MoyaApp platform)

Donald is also a published co-author of ‘Introducing Hibirism…in the meantime: a guide to black cultural nuance’ as well as a contributing author of ‘The book every marketer should most definitely read’.

His footprints have graced multiple territories – he has lived and led businesses across several African markets, judged extensively across the industry, and returns to the Marketing Achievement Awards driven by a genuine passion for marketing excellence and commercial growth.
