Clement Motale

Clement Motale is a purpose-driven leader, mentor, communicator and talent advancement activist. He is a Chartered Marketer (South Africa) and an active member of the Marketing Association of South Africa (MASA).

He joined Absa Group in 2013 as Head of Marketing and Corporate Relations for the Rest of Africa business, and has since held senior roles including Managing Executive for Marketing and Communications at Absa Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB). He has also held executive and senior management roles in the insurance, airline and banking industries, spanning customer relations, sales, relationship management and marketing and communications.

Clement is currently Managing Executive for Group Marketing and Corporate Affairs (GMCA) Strategic Transformation, Integration and Partnerships, where he leads the strategic planning and deployment of cross-functional resources. This includes driving business transformation and integration initiatives, commercialising strategic partnerships, and overseeing the development of functional capabilities and future skilling, all in service of a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
