Ivan Moroke
MAA Chairperson & CEO, Kantar South Africa

Ivan is the CEO of Kantar, Insight Division South Africa, incorporating Kantar Consulting. He is a seasoned Marketing Strategist, specialising in analysis of data from various sources to identify marketing insights, develop actionable marketing and communication strategies that impact the bottom line.

His marketing career spans over 25yrs starting at British American Tobacco, working across the value chain of the discipline. The introduction to marketing and business consulting came through Added Value (now Kantar Consulting), the global marketing consultancy. He proceeded to hold leadership positions in business, strategic marketing and communication at some of the leading industry institutions including, Lowe Bull, Yellowwood Future Architects and TBWA Hunt Lascaris. He later founded the marketing insights and strategic consultancy, Co-Currency based on the philosophy and business approach of collaborating with diverse experts to deliver growth solution for clients.

Ivan is the ex-Chairperson of the Jury for the APEX Effective, ex-Chairperson of Brand Council South Africa (BCSA) and ex-Vice-Chairperson of the Association for Communication and Advertising (ACA). He serves as committee member on Effie Awards South Africa 2021, jury member of Loeries Awards 2021 (Shared Value, Creative Effectiveness, Design Thinking”) and Chairperson of Marketing Achievements Awards

He is the Chairman of the Board of Heartlines and is a board member of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund. He is fellow of African Leadership Initiative, part of the Aspen Global Leadership Network   

He is driven by the passion for leveraging brands to grow businesses across Sub-Saharan Africa sustainably, impacting communities positively. He fundamentally believes Entrepreneurship, Tech and Innovation/Creativity individually and collectively, to be the solution for realising Africa’s  full potential.
