Chief Consumer Officer, MTN Group
Enzo Scarcella is Chief Consumer Officer of MTN South Africa. Prior to this role, Enzo served as CMO at Telkom between 2014 and 2016. Before joining Telkom, Mr Scarcella was Managing Executive of Marketing at Vodacom where he was responsible for leading the brand’s migration from the colour blue to red.
Over the past 18 years, Mr Scarcella has managed some of South Africas most prestigious brands, including Castle Lager, M-Net and Edgars. In 2011, he was voted “Marketing Personality of the Year” by his peers in the Sunday Times Top Brands survey.
Enzo spent five years in the USA, completing his education at the Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire and thereafter obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree (Honours) from Harvard University. More recently his education was supplemented with a diploma in marketing from the Kellogg School of Business in Chicago, Illinois.
Mr Scarcella is a board member at Africa Leadership Initiative and Grassroot Soccer.
Until very recently Enzo played soccer with great passion and a bit of skill. Now that passion is reserved for the support of sport, about which he is passionate.
He has been married for 17 years to Yolande and has two kids who give him great joy and some grey hair.
