Curator of “Glocal” brand experiences, Liz is a seasoned Pan-African brand builder. With more than 13 years of experience in the FMCG industry; Liz has harnessed the art & science of marketing to deliver sustainable brand growth.

Liz has grown & transformed numerous billion-dollar brands in Africa including Always, Pampers, Duracell, Ariel, Handy-Andy & Domestos. She is passionate about demonstrating the effectiveness of creativity in growing brands.

Currently, Liz leads the innovation & transformational growth strategy for HomeCare Africa at Unilever; expanding the footprint of brands like Sunlight, Omo & Domestos on the continent. She summarizes her career aspiration as: “Giving global brands an African passport, whilst giving African brands global exposure”

As an intersectional feminist, Liz is passionate about women’s equal involvement in all spheres of society. She serves on the Global Un-stereotype Alliance to help shatter stereotypes in the marketing & communications industry.  She volunteers her time to drive effective marketing, sitting on advisory councils for Red & Yellow, IAB, Effies South Africa and more.

In her personal life, Liz is a mother of 2, wife, big sister and daughter. She is naturally curious & finds joy in exploring the bounties of African creativity through fashion, literature, music & food. She is currently enrolled in a PGDIP in digital transformation.
