Carmen Mohapi, a 47-year-old mother and wife, is passionate about business being a force for good.

With over 20 years of experience in Marketing, she has worked across various industries including Telecoms, Financial Services and FMCG. As a proud South African, Carmen is proud to have cut her teeth at South African pioneers: SAB, Vodacom and Discovery.

In her current role as Managing Director for Aware.Org, she leads the strategic management and implementation of Aware.Org’s mandate to drive responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages in South Africa.

With a self-proclaimed purpose to “Liberate the Greatness in people” she has a personal mission to transform societies by building great leaders and impacting lives through the work she does.

Carmen holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Information Technology from the University of Western Sydney and has completed management programmes at the University of Cape Town.

A self-confessed daddy’s girl who grew up in Eldorado Park, Carmen is raising her two young boys alongside her husband Desmond Mohapi.
