aNwAr is the Head of Industry at Google, managing business partnerships and marketing strategies for a wide range of industries.

A Nike veteran, where he held the first Chief Marketing Officer role for Pan Africa, also previously General Manager Nike Football & Africa Sports Marketing Director. He cut his teeth at Unilever where he started out with selling Dawn lotion, then marketing Sunlight laundry bar and finally ended up in the Finance team building inclusive Bottom of the Pyramid (BOP) business models.

From the Cape Flats, he schooled at Windermere High in his neighbourhood, before trekking up the hill to the University of Cape Town to complete his honours in Social Anthropology. He is a Nelson Mandela Scholar and holds an MBA from Durham Business School UK & Chinese European International Business School (CEIBS) Shanghai.
