    15 African nations and has carved a hallmark in entrepreneur-minded business growth and turn-around strategy.

    Brand Spear, Themba’s consulting practice, provides management consulting services to large businesses, providing C-Suite leaders with Marketing, Sales and Strategy interventions to deliver sustainable growth.

    Themba is a founder of Bizania Pty Ltd, a digital networking and tourism brand that has connected over 3,500 African business people across 10 countries through its custom-built networking platform within 3 years of operation. Themba has hands-on experience building both successful and unsuccessful technology startups in his journey often in a leading role as a founder or innovator.

    As Client Service Director for Sub-Saharan Africa at Dentsu Aegis Network, he was responsible for winning new business as well as leading teams to design effective marketing strategies for blue-chip brands. With over 10 years’ experience in the marketing industry, he is a seasoned former Diageo, Coca-Cola and P&G manager and has worked across Sub-Saharan Africa. He led the creation of world-class marketing campaigns including the 2010 FIFA World Cup and Bell’s Whisky ‘Give That Man a Bells’ campaign.  Under his leadership at Diageo, Uganda Spirits Brand Strategies were rated Best Business Plan in Africa (2014).  He led the achievement of the World Record of 1,000 Bottles of Johnnie Walker Sold in one event at the Forbes Celebration Dinner in Uganda.

    Themba holds a Post Graduate Diploma (Enterprise Management) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Accounting) from The University of Cape Town.  He is currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa travelling extensively across the continent.
